Remanufacturing

Remanufacturing is an alternative to bringing a product/part back to its useful life, thus being spared from landfill accumulation. The primary benefits of remanufacturing arise from the reuse of resources. In contrast to recycling, remanufacturing retains the geometric shape of the parts, hence it eliminates or minimizes the need for the material-forming processes, resulting in a reduction of carbon footprint. Assembly and disassembly are important to remanufacturing, as all remanufactured products require disassembly and re-assembly.
