Aashish Beergi, President

Aashish Beergi

Aashish Beergi is a social entrepreneur and Co-founded MASH Project Foundation, a social enterprise based in India that works on building an ecosystem for young social entrepreneurs. He is a Young Leaders Accelerated Scholar (YLAS) at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, and pursuing Masters in Public Policy. 

He has been recognised by Global Changemaker by British Council, Young Changemaker by Ashoka, UNLEASH Talent, and a Goalkeeper by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Aashish is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers and has spoken at over 100 events and conferences.

Gandhar Desai, Vice President

Gandhar Desai

Gandhar is a development professional with more than four years of experience in multi-stakeholder partnerships for sustainable development. He is pursuing his Master in Public Policy (MPP) from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

Before moving to Singapore, Gandhar worked with UNDP in India for engaging with the private sector for skills development and women’s empowerment. He started his development career in 2015 as a Fellow at the Chief Minister’s Office in his home state of Maharashtra. 

Gandhar holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani, India.

Chathuni Uduwela, Vice President

Chathuni Uduwela

Chathuni focuses on economic justice, inclusive diversity, and growth-oriented financial regulation—with a view to improving financial inclusion in developing countries such as her own, Sri Lanka. 

Working with capital market businesses and regulators, she has formulated policies and communications supporting the development of emerging and frontier markets across South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. 

Chathuni holds a Bachelor of Economics from University of Colombo and a Bachelor of Laws from University of London.
