SEARCH – Southeast Asia Regional Collaborative for Health

The Southeast Asia Collaborative for Health (SEARCH) is a regional learning network housed at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore.

SEARCH aims to improve knowledge, understanding and take-up of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in ASEAN by raising leadership, research, policy and practice capacity for health systems strengthening.

Our objectives

SEARCH’s strategic health purchasing initiative focuses on strategic purchasing as a means to achieve UHC in Southeast Asia. Our objectives include:

1. To build a regional network of collaborators and stakeholders working on strategic health purchasing and healthcare financing Southeast Asia;

2. To increase knowledge and understanding of the current strategic purchasing landscape in Southeast Asia;

3. To produce policy-relevant recommendations to assist governments, purchasers and other stakeholders as they implement their strategic purchasing initiatives.
