RVRC hosted Mr. Chen Kok Sing, Singapore Country Manager at Micron Semiconductor Asia Pte Ltd, for Master’s Tea on October 27th. He was accompanied by several other key members of his team from Micron. Mr. Chen gave an illuminating and wide ranging talk that highlighted Micron’s expanding presence in Singapore, the diverse workforce that Micron employs, the workplace ethics the company adopts, the company’s commitment to sustainability and lastly about Micron’s commitment to work with the Singapore government in the adoption of carbon tax. The engaging discussion was peppered with several insightful questions from RVRC students curious to know more about various aspects of Micron’s operations and the realisation of its commitment to sustainability.
The team from Micron was then accompanied by RVRC students and staff for an informal dinner at the residential dining hall where they continued the discussion on various aspects of residential and academic life at RVRC.
