Xin Le’s RVRC Story

As RVRC e-Open Day is coming up, the student blog team will do a series of #myRVstory where residents share their #whyRV and their favorite parts about RVRC! Here’s Xin Le’s story!

Being in RVRC has given me countless opportunities to grow and learn as a person, develop my character and most importantly, allowed me to meet lifelong friends. University life is all about being willing to take up new challenges and RVRC has checked all boxes for me, enabling me to stretch myself and see my potential.

Learning to live in a community may be something that is new a challenging. Prior to RVRC, I never expected myself to be comfortable in living with so many people and sharing so many common spaces. I always imagined it to be awkward and uncomfortable. This misconception was debunked when I realised how welcoming people in RVRC are – making me feel right at home!

When I look back at my 3 years in University, a huge portion of it goes to RVRC. Without RVRC, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I have met the best people, experienced the best opprtunities, and had the best time living on campus. I never imagined having so much love for a place, but my heart certainly dedicated a space to RVRC, and nothing’s going to change that!

There’ll be more #myRVstory coming up these few weeks and if you want to be featured, just leave a comment, or contact lishuen at wee.lishuen@u.nus.edu!
