TIMELESS was inspired by this idea that music was able to take you back in time. Different songs remind you of certain stories and certain experiences, and TIMELESS hopes to showcase these songs in one concert to evoke that sense of memory and nostalgia.

The bands that performed at “TIMELESS” were made up of our very own Jukebox members, and each band had a different genre. Individually our musicians have different strengths and styles when it comes to musicality. Our intention was to have a concert to show this diversity that is based on their own unique musicianship and abilities.

In preparing for TIMELESS, we wanted to prioritise the music element. There was thorough vetting and hours of practices in order to put up a good show. TIMELESS was also the first collaboration with Dance ReVo, which was a step further in trying to encourage more artistic expression in RVRC.

Jukebox in general hopes to provide a safe space for musicians in RVRC to hone and share their craft, not only within the Residential College, but on outside stages as well. The concert provided an amazing opportunity for our musicians to showcase their talent, as well expose them to a bigger stage and audience.
