Live Sessions

Live sessions enable you to present material synchronously and are usually referred to as webinars. Webinars are one mode of synchronous or ‘live’ sessions that consist of a lecture or seminar conducted online, supported by presentation slides with opportunities for live online chat. This category discusses strategies for using technologies to create a similar atmosphere in a remote learning environment. Live sessions replicate the experience of face-to-face classroom teaching, as far as possible. They have the advantage of being much more active and interactive than the asynchronous alternative but requires more planning and becoming familiar with the technology. Live sessions can be easily recorded and made available for offline or asynchronous access at a later time allowing students to review the session at a time convenient to them.
