Research Topics
I am generally interested in the interactions of machine learning and dynamical phenomena. These come in several flavors, namely machine learning via, and for dynamical systems. In the first direction, one can analyze various issues in machine learning using dynamical tools, including (ordinary, stochastic, partial) differential equations and optimal control. In the reverse direction, I am also interested in developing theory and algorithms for learning dynamical systems from data. These naturally find applications in the sciences, e.g. computational physics/chemistry, and materials science.
Below are some research themes that are currently of interest in our group.
Theory of sequence modelling
Machine learning and control theory
Scientific machine learning
