The NUS Department of Psychology is proud to announce that A/P Leher Singh has been named Director for Science Affairs at the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD).
SRCD advances the developmental sciences and promotes the use of developmental research to improve human lives. Founded by the National Academy of Sciences in 1933 as a multidisciplinary, not-for-profit, professional association, SRCD’s membership consists of researchers, practitioners, and human development professionals from more than 60 countries.
As Director for Science Affairs, A/P Singh will oversee the publication of the Society’s four journals (Child Development, Child Development Perspectives, Monographs of the Society for Research in Child Development, and Social Policy Report), solicit and review proposals from SRCD members, prepare grant applications, manage externally funded grants, and build relationships with SRCD funders.
A/P Singh commented,
I am honored to lead SRCD’s Science team in the next stage of its growth. The Society, its journals, and the Asian Caucus have all played important roles in my own professional developmental science journey and I am looking forward to contributing to developmental research from the other side.”
The Department warmly congratulates A/P Singh!
