On 23 February 2019, the NUS Department of Psychology and the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) jointly organised the “Public Forum on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)” — a community engagement event that aimed to raise awareness about OCD.
The Forum was attended by more than 650 participants, including members from the public, mental health professionals, and NUS students and staff.
Dr. Oliver Sündermann, Clinical Psychologist and Manager of the Clinical and Health Psychology Centre (CHPC), NUS Department of Psychology, delivered an introductory presentation. The panel of speakers also included Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatrists with extensive expertise in treating OCD, and caregivers and people with lived experience of OCD.
We congratulate Dr. Sündermann and CHPC on a successful Forum, and extend our warmest thanks to our Management Assistant Officer, Ms. Sharifah Hanim Bte Mohamed Taib, for coordinating the event, as well as our dedicated and committed clinical psychology interns for their help!
