We are thrilled to share that Assoc Prof Stephen Lim stands among only three recipients of the inaugural Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Inspiring Mentor Award 2018!

The Award recognizes exceptional mentors who had made a significant impact on their colleagues, and was conferred by the Faculty Dean on the basis that the mentors had multiple nominators and invested time and energy sacrificially for the sake of their mentees.

Two other Associate Professors from the Departments of Economics and Japanese Studies, respectively, received this inaugural Award.

It is my hope to contribute towards building a nurturing FASS culture”,

remarked Assoc Prof Lim, who was also appointed Chair of the NUS Teaching Academy last year and has since been advocating a strong teaching mentoring focus throughout the whole university.
