The Memory & Speech Lab and Psycholinguistics Lab are looking to hire part-time undergraduate research assistants for a project. As the study involves creating a large database of spoken words and nonwords for auditory word recognition, this position is ideal for those interested in language and have a working knowledge of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).
Primary responsibilities include creating stimuli, recruiting participants, running experiments, data collection, and managing data.
Research assistants are expected to contribute about 5-10 hours per week during term, and about 10-15 hours per week during semester breaks. A minimum commitment period of 1 year is preferred.
