NUS PEACE, ACRES, Young NTUC and Chong Pang YEC jointly invites you to the Singapore Animal Welfare Symposium and Public Forum on Animal Welfare Policies 2012! Be engaged as speakers from various NGOs and government organisations discuss and debate about the most pressing issues related to animal welfare today! A roadshow with stimulating educational booths and activites will also be held!

Time: 8am – 5pm (Minister Shanmugam keynote speech at 2:40pm)

Event Details:
– A Public Forum with Grassroots Adviser, Mr K Shanmugam, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minister for Law and MP for Nee Soon GRC (Chong Pang).
– Presentations and Q&A sessions with animal welfare organisations on three specific themes, namely Humane Domestic Animal Management, Tackling Wildlife Crime and Addressing Zoo Animal Welfare Concerns.
– A presentation from AVA about safeguarding the welfare of animals in Singapore.
– An update on the recommendations raised at the First Public Forum on Animal Welfare Policies in 2011.
– An exhibition area with booths from over 15 organisations.

Complementary lunch and refreshments will be provided for all registered participants. Hope to see you there and do bring along your friends and family as well!
