NUS PEACE forges ahead – Semester 2 of 2011/12!

Semester 1 proved to be a fulfilling and exciting one for us. Taking over from where our seniors left off, I am proud to say that we are in pretty good shape right now. The newly appointed executive committee has gotten to know each other better throughout the semester, evident from our multiple social functions after formal meeting sessions. We have collaborated with ACRES and Project: FIN in events and continued our NUS Cat Cafe work. Our presence in the close-knit animal welfare community in Singapore has also been re-established.

Semester promises to be a very exciting one for us! We have multiple events coming up in close succession; all of them a prelude to the Animal Welfare Symposium scheduled for May/June 2012. Here are the details for the 10th Jan 2012 NUS PEACE meeting, our first meeting this semester:

Time: 6-8pm.

Venue: NUS Science, S1-03, Conference Room II.

Agenda:

  • Private movie screening of Sharkwater (In preparation for Project: FIN event).
  • Short discussion on Sharkwater.
  • Updates on publicity and logistics for Project: FIN event.
  • Create to-do-list for Public Policy Forum with ACRES (Tentatively 25th Feb).
  • NUS Cat Cafe targets.
Here’s to 2012!
