Job qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering or a relevant area;
- Good publication record in manufacturing/mechanical engineering journals;
- Excellent command of written and verbal English;
- Experience in density functional theory or molecular dynamics;
- Experience in sample preparation and handling for material characterization;
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing/mechanical processes.
Job scope:
- Conduct autonomous research in your project to deliver performance indicators (e.g., publications, invention disclosures);
- Deliver weekly roundtable discussions on project progress;
- Present project results at international conferences (where applicable);
- Generate project progress reports according to the project grantor’s reporting schedule;
- Seek out funding opportunities and project framing for the continuation of research;
- Provide expertise and consultation services to colleagues and collaborators of other projects;
- Mentor postgraduate and undergraduate students on their respective projects.
