PhD Exchange student

We welcome visiting scholars (under self-sourced sponsorship) who are interested in embarking on a 6/12-month long exchange program to work on the following research areas:

• Ultraprecision/precision machining;
• Post-processing for additively manufactured components;
• Machine learning/deep learning in manufacturing

Requirements:

• Minimally 2 years into the PhD program;
• Excellent command of English;
• Research topic to fall in any of the relevant fields (micro-machining, material characterization techniques, additive manufacturing).

Interested applicants may send a detailed CV, a cover letter containing a brief statement of your research topic, one letter of recommendation from the applicant’s PhD supervisor, and one letter of recommendation from another reputable scholar to Dr. Wang Hao (mpewhao@nus.edu.sg) indicating the interest in the PhD student exchange program and expected start date. Applicants will be selected based on their research topic, publications, academic record and quota in the academic year.
