Thank you so much for chancing upon my blog, and taking the time to read this introductory post and the subsequent posts to come 🙂

I would like to begin by outlining what topics will be covered in this blog by first making reference to it’s title – Mad about Marine Pollution. As its name suggests, this blog on marine pollution will consist of my personal insights on the horrendous epidemic that is marine pollution, along with other posts that will draw on academic discussions surrounding this topic.

Apart from the usual issues such as plastic waste, oil spills and chemical pollution – all wrought by the age of the Anthropocene that has culminated in deleterious marine pollution  – this blog will also assess the impact of pollutive industries, namely fashion and luxury, on our oceans. To ensure a richer discussion, references will be taken from local and global case studies as well.
