We are proud to host Professor Yoshihide Tominaga from Wind and Fluid Engineering Research Center, Niigata Institute of Technology, Japan, for a visit. Professor Tominaga is a leader in wind engineering and is the lead author of the AIJ’s Guideline for CFD in wind environment, which is widely adopted by the CFD community. Professor Tominaga delivered a research seminar “CFD simulation of near-field pollutant dispersion in the built environment” and a guest lecture “Advances in urban wind environment simulation – Development of best practice guidelines”. Our researchers and students have learned a lot from Professor Tominaga, and we had a meeting to kickstart our collaboration.
