3D Interactive Map Enhancements

We have two enhancements in our 3D Interactive Map to shout about.

You might already be familiar with the 3D Map feature for C J Koh Law, Central and Chinese Library. Now, you can add Music Library to the list of NUS libraries accessible in 3D! Explore its nooks and crannies as you tour the library virtually from your own PC.

Music Library 3D map

Using Google Earth technology, the 3D map shows detailed landmarks in different sections on the various floors of the Music Library, complete with descriptive information and photos. The 3D Map is amazingly detailed, right down to the colour of the chairs, and texture of the carpet! Find out where the different collections are shelved–from the Music Books Collection to the Miniature and Oversized Scores Collection-– so that you’ll know exactly where to browse for that Vivaldi score the next time you visit the Music Library!

Going one step further is the 3D Book Search tool. This service is now available for the Music, C J Koh Law, and Chinese libraries in addition to Central Library. With this handy tool, you can locate the exact shelf number of a book via LINC. This certainly saves the hassle of scouring shelves high and low, in search of an item. Using the 3D Book Search is easy! Here are the steps:

With the 3D Map and 3D Book Search tool, getting to know the library’s space and collection is made much more convenient. Give it a try today!
