The Language Science research group at the National University of Singapore is a group of researchers who are dedicated to furthering knowledge about how humans comprehend and produce language.

We run a variety of research studies with speakers of different ages and language background.

If you are interested in joining our database to be contacted for current and future studies that you are eligible for, please fill in our sign up form:

Topics that we are studying include:

  1. How do speakers of a language generate and comprehend sentences? How do we know what sounds natural and what sounds unnatural?
  2. How do children learn the meaning of words and the grammar of their language through the speech input that they hear? And what happens when the speech input has two or more languages?
  3. How does learning a second language affect how you process speech, both in your native language and your second language?

To answer these questions, we need your help!
