Dr. Kang Zhou joined NUS in the summer of 2015 and started this group (Metabolic Innovation Laboratory). He left NUS in May 2023 to join Singapore Institute of Technology. He is still affiliated with NUS as an Adjunct faculty and supervises a small research team at NUS.
Metabolic Innovation refers to developing innovative methods to rewire cellular metabolism for transforming renewable substrates into value-added products.
