I was inspired to take on the topic of hygiene and preventive medicine in imperial China because of the pandemic. Seeing how most of us are vaccinated against the virus and have adopted good hygiene habits during the pandemic, I was interested to find out the kinds of preventive medicine and hygiene practices developed in imperial China.
This project has taught me many cool things about preventive medicine and hygiene practices in imperial China, some of which are still used and practised today. I chose to present my research on an infographic magazine with diagrams and drawings as I felt like they might help my readers visualize the Chinese concepts and medical terms better!
