Illustratum 2024
Illustratum is back!
This year, Illustratum will be opened to Pre-University and Secondary School students.
The competition format of Illustratum remains the same and we look forward to students’ creative projects that can communicate Physics concepts in a fun and engaging manner.
For teachers who are interested to know more about Illustratum 2024, we are organising an online introductory brief sometime in late January.

Illustratum 2022 Introduction + Q&A session
Illustratum, a ‘Hallway Physics’ Competition, is organised by the National University of Singapore Department of Physics and is supported by Science Centre Singapore and the Ministry of Education Singapore.
It aims to provide an opportunity for students to do, showcase and explain Physics in an interesting and engaging manner. Students will have a chance to interact with staff from the Department of Physics.
The competition aims to tap into the creativity of our students to communicate science concepts that are accurate and captivating. The final product for the competition could be a simple exhibit, a physical manipulative, an interactive app, a game, a series of photographs or videos, and many more (limited by your own imagination).
