About Me

Hi! I’m Phyllis–the blog writer of I Can’t Breathe. Thank you for swinging by to read my reflections despite my sometimes fragmented thoughts.

COVID-19 has surely disrupted our lives in one way or another. For some of us, it meant that we couldn’t cross the border to see our families for months and years on end. For others, it meant having second thoughts about stepping outdoors to run an errand just because you could risk getting infected and endangering more vulnerable family members at home. For me, it meant that my dreams of going on an exchange trip to Canada to finally experience life outside of Singapore was crushed because the entire world was virtually on emergency lockdown.

Interestingly, as time pass, we’ve seen strangely positive things that emerge out of this supposed crisis. With people locked at home, businesses closed and services halted, we’ve seen the clearest waters in Venice’s canals for the longest time and global air quality improving drastically.

Either way, it appears that COVID-19 is a blessing in disguise for the environment!

Or is it?

Really an environmental enthusiast,

Phyllis 🙂
