Dr. Xu Simin completed her undergraduate studies in Biological Science at Central South University and gained her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences in National University of Singapore.
Dr. Xu’s study centered on isthmin1 (ISM1), a protein previously identified for its anti-inflammatory properties. Her research provided new insights into the role of ISM1 in cellular senescence and innate immunology. Her work paves the way for potential therapeutic strategies targeting cellular senescence in age-related lung diseases.
During free time, Simin will spend time on sport activities such swimming, horseback riding, and diving.
