We are thrilled to announce that Ms. Mahalakshmi has successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation entitled “Investigating the Roles and Mechanisms of ISM1 in Respiratory Development and Lung Fibrosis” on 15 May 2023. We extend our warmest congratulations to her for this remarkable achievement!

Next, Maha will continue her scientific venture as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the laboratory of Professor Ge at the National University of Singapore, Singapore. In her new role, Maha will be investigating the therapeutic role of ISM1 for pulmonary fibrosis, a project that holds immense promise for improving the lives of individuals affected by this debilitating condition. Her expertise and dedication will undoubtedly drive significant advancements in our understanding of pulmonary fibrosis and pave the way for potential therapeutic interventions.
