Welcome back dear Foodies!
I came across this data which really helped me to visualize how exactly food production contributes to the release of greenhouse gases(GHG). The data provides a breakdown of how each sector of food production – agriculture, livestock, transportation or process, contributes to GHG emissions. From the data, we can see the food production takes up a significant 72% while the rest of the supply chain contributes around only 18%.
