This was a report on the International Conference on State Policy and the Cultural Politics of Heritage-Making in East and Southeast Asia, which was organised by the Institute of Southeast Asia Studies, Singapore Research Nexus of the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the International Institute for Asian Studies, Netherlands. Some of the topics discussed were on heritage assessment in Singapore and the interest with Bukit Brown.
