The International Youth Leadership Conference (IYLC) is a week-long youth forum on world politics, international relations and justice. This conference has been ranked as one of the top ten youth conferences globally. Hosted biannually in Prague, Czech Republic, the IYLC brings together prominent university students from 35 countries across the globe. This year, the summer conference will be held from 24 to 29 July 2011. Its main objective is to facilitate an exchange of ideas across an ethnically diverse and socially responsible group of young international leaders. Students will be able to take part in simulation activities such as:

  • A United Nations Security Council emergency meeting simulation
  • A mock International Criminal Court pre-trial
  • A model European Parliament proceeding

IYLC Alumni agree that it is an excellent forum for young leaders to benefit from, contributing to their academic and professional growth, as well as raising their inter-cultural, gender and environmental awareness.

NUS has recently been set up as a Special Affiliate School, hence NUS students who attend the conference will be entitled to a 20% discount of the conference fee.  Students who wish to participate may feel free to find means of sponsorship for the conference cost. The IYLC website contains important information on how to obtain funding.
