Application Open: KAIST International Summer School (KISS) 2010
We are pleased to inform you that the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) summer programme is now open for application.
Programme details
Name of programme : KAIST International Summer School (KISS)
Date: 31 May – 9 July 2010 (duration of 6 weeks)
Tuition Fees: Waived
Accommodation Fees: KRW160,000 (approx S$197)
FASS will nominate only 2 students for this summer school. The deadline for application is 5 pm, 5 April 2010. Please refer to the OEP site for information for application as well as list of module details and mapping details. Please ensure that you include a copy of your unofficial transcript with your application.
You can select up to three modules for this summer programme (minimum two modules). Transcripts will be sent to IRO approximately 1 month after the end of the programme and you will be given notice to pick them up.

APRU Undergraduate Summer Program 2010 – Impactful Leadership in the 21st Century
Dear students,
IRO is pleased to announce the 5th APRU Undergraduate Summer Program 2010, hosted by NUS from 5 – 16 July 2010 in Singapore. Building on the success of last year’s program, this year the program is entitled “Rising to New Challenges – Impactful Leadership in the 21st Century.”The two-week program is aimed at students who:
- Want to better understand what constitutes impactful leadership and its approaches to contemporary issues;
- Hold leadership positions or have aspirations towards student leadership at their home university;
- Are interested to see how student leadership can impact global issues and global change;
- Want to explore novel approaches to leadership in addressing new challenges faced by today’s society;
- Want to be change agents to pressing contemporary issues; and
- Are thoughtful and mature in their outlook.

Summer Study Programme at University of St.Gallen: Doing Business in Europe – Finance & Strategy

The University of St.Gallen will offer a new Summer Study Programme from June 4-26, 2010, on the topic “Doing Business in Europe – Finance & Strategy”. Extension of Deadline- IARU-NUS Asia Now! Summer School 2010
Dear FASS students
This is an extension of the deadline for the application of the Asia Now! Summer School organized by FASS till 31 March 2010.
Asia Now” is a residential summer program taking place at NUS from 28 June to 16 July 2010. It focuses on the themes of Asia’s transformation and the growing importance of the region in world affairs. Drawing on the expertise and unique geographical situation of NUS. The summer school will feature 2 modules; Cyber Asia and Urban Asia and they will be GEM-coded; that means that they can be S/U. Also students will choose one of the modules offered and enjoy a tuition fee waiver.
It is in residence so you will need to stay at PGP for the 3 weeks of classes (this will be payable by students) and you will be interacting with students from the rest of IARU (www.iaruni.org) which includes universities like Yale, Cambridge, University of Copenhagen and Peking University. There will also be a full-day history tour of Singapore as well as several field trips as part of the curriculum.
If you are not graduating at the end of this semester and if you are interested, please use the application form with the relevant supporting documents such as unofficial transcript etc. Please then submit the relevant documents to Dean’s Office, 5th Floor, AS7 c/o Mdm Chang Su Ling. Tecnológico de Monterrey – Campus Monterrey- Information Session on Mayan Route & Studying in Mexico

There are some upcoming summer schools whose applications have just been opened. One of which is the IARU-NUS Summer School 2010 organised by FASS; Asia Now! Summer School. I would really encourage students to apply for this summer school; you will get to mingle with students from all over the world from Yale, Oxford, Copenhagen and Beida; you will be participating in 2 very interesting modules and they will be GEM-coded and that means that you can use it to fulfill your University level requirements.
