SJTU International Student Centre would like to send our warmest regards for the continuous support. 

In summer 2016 we well prepare three short term summer program for all the international students. SJTU International Summer Session 2016 is a 3-week credit-bearing program under the topic “Traditional and Modern China” for both undergraduate and graduate students from around the world.

2016 SJTU Summer Research Internship is a Summer Research Program that offers top undergraduate students from around the world the opportunity to work at world class laboratories in SJTU under the supervision of top scientists in China. The internship lasts 6-8 weeks depending on the requirement of the individual research project. All students admitted will be waived of tuition fee and they have the chance to be awarded scholarships offered by SJTU .

The 2016 Global Summer School 20151216 is a 2-week program which provides international students with a unique experience of Chinese culture and history through a combination of lectures, workshops and filed trips. The summer schools cover four major fields of Food, Architecture, Culture and Society and feature special Chinese elements.

Opening of Application for Italian Scholarship to NUS students (AY2015-2016)

Italian Government Scholarships for AY 2015-16

The Italian Government has confirmed granting of scholarship to Singaporean nationals of all local Universities for the Academic Year 2015/2016 as part of the Cultural, Scientific and Technological Agreement between Italy and Singapore.

NUS Singaporean graduates are welcomed to apply online  for long term (6 or 9 months) Post-Graduate Scholarships after having established a first contact with the Italian University of their choice to explore and identify the course of study they are interested to pursue. The deadline for submitting the applications online is Wednesday, 13 May 2015, 6am (12.00mn Italian time).

Interested applicants, having completed the online application will have to submit the following hard copies to  the Italian Cultural Institute:

  • copy of your online application
  • copies of the latest qualifications
  • copy of passport
  • CV
  • transcript of latest exams
  • personal motivation letter
  • referral letters
  • n°2 passport-size photos
  • any other documents that is relevant to support your scholarship application

Graduate Exchange Scholarships to Concordia University: Canada-Commonwealth Program

Dear Graduate Students

This is a call for application for graduate exchange to Concordia University Montréal (Québec) CANADA under Canada’s Commonwealth Scholarship program. The Faculty is looking to nominate well-qualified students to work with researchers at Concordia.

Under this program, students can spend 4-6 months on a research project under the supervision of one or more of Concordia’s faculty members. Each successful candidate will receive $7500 – $10,000 CAD.  Specific information about the program is listed below.  You may want to refer to Concordia’s website for information about academics and research:  www.concordia.ca

If you wish to apply, please download and complete the Graduate Exchange Application Form with supervisor’s support. Please note that you will also need to include a full proposed research plan under section 6 of the above application form and you may disregard Annex A and B. And please ensure the form and all supporting documents to reach the Graduate Division c/o Ms Narita (6th floor, Shaw Foundation Building) no later than 4 pm, 21 March 2011. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Research Attachment Scholarship Offered by the Canadian Government

Dear graduate students

An email was sent out to all of you late last evening informing you of scholarship application to the Canadian government for research attachment to 2 Canadian Universities, Concordia University and University of Toronto. This is an interesting opportunity for those of you who think that such an attachment will allow you to work with a professor in one of those universities and help in your thesis research.

The scholarship amount is $10,000 CAD which is a fairly generous sum. For those of you who miss the email, please see the attachment in this post for more information.
