Dear students,

FASS is launching a brand new summer school FASStrack Asia: The Summer School in June 2013!

If your interest is in Asia and all things Asian, FASStrack Asia will be perfect for you. As the world turns its gaze onto Asia, this summer programme will showcase our strength of research in Asia and offer a spotlight on this region whereby you can gain a better understanding of various Asian-related topics and issues. Taught over a 6-week summer period (10 June – 19 July 2013), you will attend lectures, participate in active discussions and do research with academic experts specializing in their area of study. In addition to NUS students, you will be joined by international students from universities all over the world. You have an opportunity to stay at U-Town’s residential colleges which combine living, playing and studying; with the latest sports/teaching facilities and equipment as well as entertainment and dining amenities.

We offer courses related to China, Japan, South Asia, Malay Studies as well as Asian language courses and in Economics. Some of them will feature a 10 to 12 days’ fieldtrip on one of the Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand and Indonesia and as well as shorter fieldtrips in Singapore or Malaysia over the weekends.
