Dear Students,
The International Relations Office (IRO) is pleased to invite you to apply for the 2011 Universitas 21 (U21) Summer School, hosted by University College Dublin, Ireland, from 11 – 19 July 2011. This year’s theme will focus on ‘Conflict Resolution’ and take an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach to exploring the issue of conflict resolution across a range of areas: politics, international organizations, war, labour relations, social and ethnic conflict and ethics.
The U21 Summer School is open to full-time 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate students (excluding graduating students) from any school/ faculty/ discipline. Applicants should possess a good command of the English language, are thoughtful and mature in their outlook, and be able to act as effective ambassadors of NUS. Up to four successful applicants from NUS will participate in the Summer School and receive summer school grants from IRO to help offset the cost of registration fee (which covers accommodation, organized meals and field trips), airfare and visa (if applicable).
Application forms and supporting documents should be submitted electronically to u21@nus.edu.sg by Wednesday 23 March 2011. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held during the week of 28-31 March 2011, unless otherwise notified, and final decisions will be made by 1 April 2011.
