Dear FASS students
This is an extension of the deadline for the application of the Asia Now! Summer School organized by FASS till 31 March 2010.
Asia Now” is a residential summer program taking place at NUS from 28 June to 16 July 2010. It focuses on the themes of Asia’s transformation and the growing importance of the region in world affairs. Drawing on the expertise and unique geographical situation of NUS. The summer school will feature 2 modules; Cyber Asia and Urban Asia and they will be GEM-coded; that means that they can be S/U. Also students will choose one of the modules offered and enjoy a tuition fee waiver.
It is in residence so you will need to stay at PGP for the 3 weeks of classes (this will be payable by students) and you will be interacting with students from the rest of IARU (www.iaruni.org) which includes universities like Yale, Cambridge, University of Copenhagen and Peking University. There will also be a full-day history tour of Singapore as well as several field trips as part of the curriculum.
If you are not graduating at the end of this semester and if you are interested, please use the application form with the relevant supporting documents such as unofficial transcript etc. Please then submit the relevant documents to Dean’s Office, 5th Floor, AS7 c/o Mdm Chang Su Ling.
