Aomori Global Advance Project 2023

Aomori Global Advance Project 2023 is a collaborative project among the following municipalities of Aomori Prefecture, Japan: Mutsu city, Aomori city, Sotogahama town, Hirosaki city, Misawa city and Hirakawa city.

These cities and towns are situated in Aomori prefecture, right below Hokkaido. Bestowed with bountiful gifts from nature, Aomori is home to a wealth of fresh food resources from the rich mountains, seas and rivers. Aomori’s profound and time-honoured traditions are also precious treasures of the prefecture.

Explanatory Note for JCCI Singapore Foundation Waseda & ICU Scholarships 2022 to 2023

1 ) JCCI SINGAPORE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS 2022/2023

The Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI) Singapore Foundation is offering fully-sponsored, no-bond attached one-year scholarships to Waseda University & International Christian University (ICU) in Japan for the year 2022/2023. This is the 25th and 4th consecutive year that JCCI has been collaborating with Waseda University and ICU respectively.

This is an exclusive opportunity for Singaporean students to experience studying and living in Japan throughout the four seasons!

Please read the attached explanatory note for details and application procedure. Applicants may choose their preferred programmes and at least 2 students will be awarded.

The application is now open till 2359hrs of Friday, 17 September 2021 and the submission is strictly via email.

IHS (Integrated Human Sciences Programme for Cultural Diversity) Scholarship Programme at University of Tokyo, 2020

This program is designed for students who have strong interests in Japanese society and culture with advance level of Japanese proficiency. The participants will carry out a project with the graduate students of the IHS (Integrated Human Sciences Programme for Cultural Diversity) Programme of the University of Tokyo and present the outcomes at the University of Tokyo Komaba campus in Japanese. This will provide opportunities not only to use the Japanese language, but also to have hands-on cultural experiences, and to gain new perspectives about Japanese society and culture.

Application period is from 13 to 17 January. Successful applicants who have been selected will be notified via email by January 27.

Marugoto Rikuzentakata

Marugoto Rikuzentakata and The Japan Foundation Asia Centre would like to invite NUS students who learn Japanese language to Singapore Fair in Rikuzentakata city, Iwate prefecture, Japan.

Rikuzentakata city is one of the areas that suffered great damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred in March 2011. Students will aim to promote understanding of Japanese culture and disaster-stricken areas through participation in the Singapore Fair, inspection of the disaster-stricken areas, and interaction with local students and residents from young to elderly.

Date: Thursday 3rd  – Sunday 6th October, 2019

1) Return air ticket to Tokyo, Transportation in Japan, Accommodations and daily allowance will be provided.

2) Students are expected to pay for travel insurance, transportation to Changi Airport, and personal belongings such as souvenir.
