Prof. LU Yixin

Lu, Yixin (卢一新)

Professor LU Yixin studied chemistry and earned his B.Sc. from Fudan University and continued his graduate studies in Canada and obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of George Just at McGill University in 2000. He then carried out his postdoctoral research with Peter W. Schiller at the Clinical Research Institute of Montreal, followed by an RCMS fellowship with Ryoji Noyori at Nagoya University. In September 2003, He began his independent research at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2010 and to Full Professor in 2014. He currently serves as Head of the Department of Chemistry, is an NUS Provost’s Chair Professor, a Fellow of the Singapore National Academy of Science, and President of the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC). His research focuses on asymmetric catalysis and synthesis, with current interests spanning organic catalysis, transition metal catalysis, photocatalysis, atroposelective synthesis, and sustainable chemistry.
