Dr Raka Shome will be delivering a keynote talk- When Postcolonical Studies Meets Media Studies– at Goldsmiths College London, on 27 November 2017. Professor Mohan J Dutta will deliver the keynote for the upcoming 6th Annual International Conference on Journalism and Mass Communications (JMComm 2017), entitled Digital Media, Globalisation and Sustainability: Asian Possibilities, that will discuss:
…the role of communication in co-creating possibilities for socially just and sustainable futures. Theorizing the role of communication inequalities in reproducing global power differentials and social inequalities, the talk will explore the role of participation, dialogue, and listening as strategic entry points for building policies and programs that are rooted in the lived experiences of communities at the margins.
