Dr. Chao-Fu Wang received the B.Sc. degree in mathematics, the M.Sc. degree in applied mathematics, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1985, 1989, and 1995, respectively.
From 1987 to 1996, he was a Lecturer, then an Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics, and later on transferred to the Department of Electronic Engineering as an Associate Professor at the Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST). From 1996-1999, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Center for Computational Electromagnetics and Electromagnetics Laboratory (CCEML), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). From 1999-2001, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). He was transferred to Temasek Laboratories (TL) at NUS as a Research Scientist in 2001, where he became a Senior Research Scientist in 2007 and then a Principal Research Scientist in 2011. He has been leading the TL Computational Electromagnetics (or Propagation and Scattering) Group at NUS for many years to successfully conduct and accomplish research programs funded by Singapore Government.
He is currently an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, International Journal of Numerical Modelling: Electronic Networks, Devices and Fields, IEEE Journal on Multiscale and Multiphysics Computational Techniques, and Electronics Letters. He is also a Guest Editor for a Special Issue of International Journal of Numerical Modelling: Electronic Networks, Devices and Fields on advanced solution methods for modeling complex electromagnetic problems.
He is a General Chair of 2020 IEEE International Conference on Computational Electromagnetics (ICCEM 2020) to be held from August 24-26, 2020, at the Equarius Hotel in the Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), Singapore.
