7. Publications and Outreach

The CDTL Publications Team has been reflecting on the lessons learned and good practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. We started a blog, Teaching Connections, in April 2020 as a platform for sharing good teaching practices, resources, and personal reflections among NUS faculty members. Through editing and publishing the blog posts, we learned that teachers are tenacious, resourceful, and willing to adapt to new technologies to continue students’ learning and promote engagement. We want to continue building on this spirit of sharing and continuous learning.

In April 2021, we introduced Teaching Connections Podcasts as another medium for faculty members to learn from senior colleagues and invited scholars. We found that providing choices in learning formats was well-received and intend to develop more podcasts in the future.

In 2022, we started a special column on “Evidencing Teaching”, which is an important topic for all teachers. We believe that with concrete evidence, we can analyse, discuss, and address questions related to teaching and learning. We plan to reach out to more colleagues on this topic through our different platforms. Additionally, we are building our social media presence, revamping our CDTL website, and collaborating with other units like the NUS Library to continue bringing about shared, meaningful learning for the NUS community.
