Prof Carol Hargreaves is a results-oriented Director of the Data Analytics Consulting Centre at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and holds a joint position as an associate professor in the Department of Statistics & Applied Probability and the Department of Mathematics. She is also the Co-Chair for the Data Science & Analytics Programme.
Prof Carol has extensive experience in leading teams of analysts to solve multidisciplinary real-world data science problems. She developed and took charge of multiple innovative projects in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Telecommunications, and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Industry. Her research area includes Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Applications in Healthcare and the Financial Industry.
Prof Hargreaves successfully supervised more than 20 Data Analytics and Statistics Internship and Final Year Real World Projects for leading companies in Singapore (2014-presently). She has published more than 30 Proof of Concept/Applied Research Projects in Scientific and Artificial Intelligence Journals and has taught Data Science and Data Analytics Courses to more than 2000 students and Industry Professionals in Singapore.
Prof Hargreaves is an Editorial Board Member for the Journals of the Academy and Industry Research Collaboration Centre (AIRCC) worldwide and a Program Committee Member for the International Conference on Machine Learning & Trends (MLT 2020) and the International Conference on Advanced Machine Learning (AMLA 2020)” to be held in June 13 ~ 14, 2020, Helsinki, Finland.
Prof Hargreaves sits on the Journal Paper Review Committee for the Sustainability Molecular Diversity Preservation International and Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI) Journal and was recent International keynote note speaker for the 2020 International Conference on Economic Management and Big Data Applications(ICEMBDA2020), Nanjing, China on 16 May 2020.
