I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the National University of Singapore. Prior to NUS, I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from Harvard University, where I was co-advised by Professors Samuel Kou and Lucas Janson, and also worked closely with Professors Donald Rubin and Jun Liu. In 2015, I received a B.S. in Mathematics from Peking University in China.

I am especially interested in developing innovative methods for efficient and stable statistical analyses of the dependence structures in high-dimensional data, and establishing their theoretical guarantees. Specifically, I have worked on sufficient dimension reduction, model-X inference, and Bayesian inference. I enjoy uncovering the theoretical underpinnings of these methods and bringing them closer to practice.

Beyond research, I enjoy teaching and mentoring. I have supervised graduate and undergraduate students, and I’m always excited to work with curious minds who are passionate about statistics.
