Rachel Grier

Andrew Hodges

Philip Niemann

Fani Swaenpoel

Senior Vice President of Revenue Optimization, Marina Bay Sands

Fanie Swanepoel is the Senior Vice President of Revenue Optimization at Marina Bay Sands. Prior to joining the hospitality industry in 2001, he worked in diverse industries including insurance, pension funding and motoring. Relocated to Singapore in 2010 to establish the Gaming Optimization team for Marina Bay Sands and is currently overseeing their Revenue Optimization department who is tasked with the strategic analyses of gaming, hotel, conference and marketing operations.

In 1997, he attained a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree with specialization in Econometrics at the University of Pretoria (South Africa).

Anurita Kapoor

Regional Marketing Analyst, Four Seasons

Anurita Kapoor is the Regional Marketing Analyst for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and leads the Regional Analytics for the Asia-Pacific Region. Anurita manages the intricate relationship between Regional Revenue Management, Marketing Communications and Public Relations with a focus on  maximising return-on-investment as well as return-on-effort. She also leads the distribution optimization strategy for brand and third-party channels for APAC.

Prior to this, she worked at TravelClick in Melbourne where she partnered with hotel chains to improve Channel Performance and at American Express where she supported creation and implementation of self-booking tools for Corporate Travel.

She holds a Masters of Marketing degree from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia.

Tarandeep Singh

Senior Director Revenue Management – India Middle East & Africa, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG)

Tarandeep Singh is a seasoned hospitality professional leading the revenue management strategy and operations across India Middle East and Africa for IHG, based in Dubai (UAE) An alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (India), he has worked with leading hotel companies in India including Taj, Oberois and Radisson hotels. Taran possesses a unique combination of successful leadership experiences in revenue management, sales and marketing, operations and feasibility/brand partner search for hotel projects. With more than wo decades of experience, he has scaled businesses and nurtured talent across range of established and emerging markets in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

He joined IHG in 2010 based out of India and established the remote RM solution (IHG Revenue) for the region. He moved to Singapore in 2014 to kick start the Data Analytics function for AMEA region and lead the data transformation journey and bringing in Tableau as a BI tool. He has also led the Manila back end operations team for IHG and has been involved in various project implementations including the latest GRS roll out for IHG. Taran is also associated with HSMAI since 2014 being part of the advisory board in Asia Pacific and the steering committee in Middle East and chairs Agenda Committee for Revenue Optimization Conference (ROC).

Ellen Li

Group Director, Brand Solutions, Silks Hotel Group

Ellen Li graduated from Cornell Master of Management in Hospitality in 2011 with concentration in operations and revenue management. Prior to Cornell, she had earned solid hands-on experience in operation (guest facing), distribution and revenue management, as well as PR and partnership.

Post Cornell, she joined Expedia market management team for a short while and moved on to Pan Pacific Hotel Group Singapore corporate office as Business Analyst, when she realized that hotel industry is where her passion is all about. After PPHG, Ellen joined The Leading Hotels of the World, as Senior Manager for Asia Pacific, where she was responsible for member hotels distribution, business performance and new hotels implementation for 27 hotels in the region across 11 countries. Spending three years at LHW, Ellen realized that she needs more hands-on leadership experience at property level, she decided to move back to Taipei to join Regent Taipei, where she has successfully cultivated revenue management culture and improved hotel RevPAR performance. With the joint venture of Regent and IHG, Ellen now moved on to Silks Hotels Group, which manages and owns majority of hotels under three brands- Just Sleep (Lifestyle), Silks Place (Cultural Luxury Resort), and Regent Taipei (Luxury), to implement revenue management culture across the group’s portfolio and to lead initiatives to set up the new corporate structure with the senior executives.

Judith Cartwright

Judith Cartwright is the Senior Vice President, Revenue Management for Kerzner International. Judith is responsible for ensuring that all Revenue Management teams proactively and cost effectively maximise opportunities to increase hotel revenues, pricing, demand analysis, yield management, market segmentation, business mix and selling strategies.

Judith previously held the title of Director, Revenue Management for Minor Hotels, based in Bangkok and prior to that with Le Meridien hotels in her native Germany and also in Malaysia. Since joining the team at Kerzner International over 8 years ago, Judith has been influential in the creation of the revenue and distribution function within the organisation as well as developing a revenue & distribution training academy and a budget and pricing review process.

Detlev Remy

Singapore Institute of Technology

Dr. Remy works at the Singapore Institute of Technology, SIT, Singapore. He is teaching Revenue Management, Data Analytics and Digital Marketing whilst researching on Pricing and Revenue Management related topics. Before that he was the Program Manager for the Bachelor of Business Administration program at

Les Roches, Laureate Universities, teaching (and researching on) marketing-related subject areas and revenue management to Bachelor and MBA students.

Additionally he has started his own consultancy business, “Remy Consult”, advising international beverage, tourism and hospitality businesses, and providing executive education to a variety of stakeholders.

Dr. Remy holds a Masters in Marketing from University College Cork, Ireland (2007), and a doctorate (DBA) from the University of Surrey, UK, (2014). His research interests are revenue management, digital marketing, and data analytics. He has published in international journals, and attend regularly academic conferences to present papers.

Dr. Remy is also regularly invited to attend major Revenue and Pricing conferences, giving speeches on revenue management related topics, additionally he is giving guest lectures in marketing and other subject areas to other educational organisations, for example to Latvian Universities and German hotel schools.

Vivek Bhogaraju
