Graduate Modules

Module requirements

  • PhD students are required to complete a minimum of 24 modular credits (MCs).
  • MSc students are required to complete a minimum of 12 modular credits (MCs).

Graduate Seminar Module: PR5198

PR5198 (Graduate Seminar Module in Pharmacy) is a compulsory module for all graduate research students in the Department of Pharmacy. With effect from AY17/18 Semester 2, PR5198 will be a graded module. PR5198 will only be offered in Semester 2 of each AY and all students have to clear PR5198 by their 2nd semester.

Biostatistics Module: MDG5108

MDG5108 (Biostatistics for Basic Research) is a compulsory biostatistics module for all students admitted from AY17/18 Semester 1 onwards. Exception: students in the Pharmacy Practice domain can choose to take either MDG5108 or SPH5002 (Public Health Research Methods). Students have to clear either MDG5108 or SPH5002 by the 2nd semester as it is considered a foundation module.

MDG5108 confers 4 MCs and is offered by the School of Medicine in both Semesters 1 and 2 each AY. SPH5002 is an 8MC module and is only offered by the School of Public Health in Semester 2 every AY. As MDG5108 and SPH5002 are cross-faculty modules, students intending to take them are required to submit DGS1110 Module Registration Form prior to the registration deadline each semester.
