Seminar ‘Public Perception on Dolphins in Captivity— the Singapore Story’, 13 April 2012 @ NUS

Love dolphins? Want to know about dolphins captivity in Singapore? Here’s your great chance!

You are invited to join us at the seminar ‘Public Perception on Dolphins in Captivity- the Singapore Story’ regarding the issue of dolphins’ captivity in Singapore. Hosted by Dr Zeehan Jaafar, the seminar involves a presentation of a paper done by Li Jinghan, a NUS undergraduate, on the public attitudes of Singaporeans towards dolphins in captivity as well as the reasons for visitation (or non-visitation) of parks supporting cetacean captivity. Following the presentation, Louis Ng, the Director of ACRES, would be giving his views on public education of dolphins captivity in Singapore. There will also be an update on ACRES’ Dolphin Campaign.

  1. Dolphines prove to be one of the most unique creatures in our planet, the only animal species who makes love for pleasure- a proof of their undoubted intelligence and it is our duty to be concrened and to counteract if they are endangered.
