Wow it’s already week 12 and this will be my last post here but hopefully I will be able to continue my blogging journey in time to come. For the past 12 weeks, I have been talking about why it is difficult to tackle climate change due to the complexity of the issue and the different stakeholders involved. The fact that we are feeling the detrimental effects of climate change means that we need to start saving the environment.
At times I wonder if we could really return things to the way they were before climate change due to the selfishness of human nature (such as people who perceive the iReject campaign as irrelevant as they find it inconvenient).
But other times when I see news articles on environmental initiatives and people coming up with new ideas to go green and be environmentally friendly, perhaps not all is lost.
In times like this, it is more important than ever for humanity to come together to solve the root cause of climate change (be it burning of fossil fuels, deforestation and many more) and never lose faith even if you think you are fighting alone. Look around and you will find many like-minded people who care about the environment and perhaps with collective effort and by taking action now, we might be able to save our Mother Earth.
