Program Overview

Starting from September 2018, the School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM) of Tsinghua University is partnering with the Geneva School of Social Sciences (G3S) of University of Geneva to start a highly interdisciplinary 2.5-year dual master’s program for the SDGs. This program focuses on defining and developing concrete solutions for the SDGs through hands-on, team-based and project-driven activities, in parallel with courses on the fundamentals of sustainable development. Candidates from a broad range of backgrounds will gain both theoretical understanding and practical field experience that will prepare for employment in international organizations, public services, NGOs, and private sectors.

[Call for Applications for studies starting in Academic Year 2020/21] Scholarships for Singaporeans to study in Hungary

Dear Students

MOE signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the field of education with the Hungarian Ministry of Human Capacities. As part of the MOU, the Hungarians would offer up to 30 scholarships annually for Singaporeans to study in Hungary, across Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes.

The online application started on 15 Nov 2019 and the submission deadline is 15 Jan 2020.

Recently, the Indian Government has taken an initiative to provide scholarships to students from ASEAN countries for pursuing Ph.D. programs at different Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in India. Interested students can apply to different Ph.D. programs at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (the only IIT in the Himalayan mountains).

You are cordially invited to a FASS lecture Education for a World that Worksby Professor Elizabeth Minnich.

Professor Elizabeth Minnich is a Distinguished Fellow with the Association of American Colleges & Universities and Professor of Moral Philosophy at Queens University. Previously, she served as Dean and Core Professor at the Graduate School of the Union Institute and University.  Her special appointments have included Visiting Scholar, Scholars & Seminars Program at The Getty Research Institute for the History of Art & The Humanities; the Hartley Burr Alexander Chair in Public Philosophy at Scripps College; the Daniel Evans Chair at Evergreen State College; the Whichard Visiting Distinguished Professorship of Humanities and Women’s Studies at East Carolina University; Visiting Distinguished Professor at the University of Hartford; the Carol Zicklin Visiting Scholar in Interdisciplinary Studies at Brooklyn College.  Earlier in her career, she was Associate Dean of Faculty at Barnard College/Columbia University after teaching and serving in various administrative positions at Sarah Lawrence and Hollins Colleges.

The lecture will be moderated by Professor Robbie Goh, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
