IRO is pleased to announce the IARU Global Summer Program (GSP) 2013 which is open to all full-time NUS undergraduate students in their 2nd year onwards as well as graduate students.
This year, IARU GSP 2013 will feature 19 courses from all our ten IARU partners, of which four are brand new GSP courses. NUS hosts two courses – “Asia Now! – Southeast Asian Cosmopolitan Urbanism” by the Department of Architecture, SDE, and “Southeast Asia in Context” by the Department of Southeast Asian Studies, FASS. A brief outline of IARU GSP 2013 is attached below. Online application is now open till Friday, 1 March 2013. Students who wish to apply for the NUS courses should also apply via the same application channel.
IARU GSP Information Session
Interested students are invited to attend the IARU GSP Information Session on Wed, 6 February 2013, at 6pm, at Central Library Theatrette 1. Students will learn more about the program and hear from our past IARU GSP participants. The opportunity for exchange beckons once again and prior to the start of the application, we will be talking to you on the processes and some of the things to expect. This will be relevant to all interested students applying for exchange in semester 2, AY2013/2014.
Please note that this coming round of application is only open to ARS1, NVG1, ARS2 and NVG2 students.

Good news! We are conducting another session during Recess Week just for you!!
This coming summer in June/July, FASS is offering FASStrack Asia, a brand new international summer programme and OdySEA, the second run of a widely successful summer programme guaranteed to prompt self-reflexivity and exciting challenges! We will be telling you more about these 2 summer schools, including the modules, field trips and financial subsidies.

The NUS International Relations Office (IRO) Peer Advising Programme will be holding “GO AWAY!” – An overseas opportunities fair which will give you more information on Student Exchanges, Summer Schools and Overseas Internships and other short-term programmes and opportunities.
The event will be a free-and-easy, walkabout format with booths and talks held concurrently. NUS’s own incoming foreign Exchange Students and NUS returnees will be down to give talks and be consultants at their booths representing various Partner Universities and countries. Staff from the NUS International Relations Office will also be present to talk about Summer Programmes and overseas Internship opportunities. So grab your friends and head down to “GO AWAY!” this coming Thursday to find out more about your overseas opportunities!

We are also pleased to announce that there are 6 tuition-waiver places for FASS students, subject to nomination by the Faculty. Each nominated student is only entitled to a fee waiver for one session. Costs for an extra session will have to be borne by individuals. In addition, students who are interested to attend but are not nominated can also enjoy a 10% discount on tuition fees for this summer school.
