Reflections on Round 2 SEP Applications for AY 2011/12 Received

Dear students

Despite repeated reminders during my SEP briefing sessions, I still get students who turn in incomplete application with missing information like:

1. Amount of money set aside for their exchange

2. Source of funding; parents/relatives/Scholarship organisation

3. No or partial study plan

4. Badly written or single-line personal statements

Both Departments admin staff and I had to ask students for these additional items after the close of application. Going forward, we will have to try more drastic measures in order to get students to submit complete applications.

Sometime back I wrote another blog item for students to better understand hhow they can improve their chances of getting a place for exchange.

https://blog.nus.edu.sg/fassinternational/2010/04/27/how-to-improve-your-chances-to-be-successful-in-your-exchange-application/

I hope that this will be able to help you.
