Reflections on Round 1 SEP Applications for AY 2011/12 Received

For this round of application, I received over  469 applications and believe me, it is very time-consuming to have to read through everyone of them, again I wish to draw your attention to reasons why students were less than successful in their application.

An overwhelming number of you put down universities in North America, UK, HK, NZ and Australia in your choices; some of you go as far as to only have these countries exclusively in your choices but the number of spaces that I have for these universities are as follows:

Australia 9
Canada 40
HK 8
NZ 2
UK 51
US 61
  171

So the end result is that I will disappoint a lot of you.

I hope that this little post will help you to better understand why your application was not successful.
