Automatic Honours Tracks for Students on Exchange in their 5th/ 6th Semester

Dear students

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

This is an email notification to students who are in their 3rd year and are currently on exchange or will be going for exchange in semester 2 AY2009/10. For those of you who enrolled in NUS on a polytechnic qualification, you will be in your 5th semester. And the rest of you would be in your 6th semester.

If you are NOT in your 3rd year, please safely ignore this email. I apologise for sending this email to you but we did not want to miss out anyone in the email. The Faculty will be adjusting your total accumulated MC to reflect your SEP workload with the equivalent of a normal semester load of 20 MC at the end of semester 2 AY2009/2010.

Once this is done, and if you meet these criteria, your status would be automatically changed to that ‘On Honours’. This will thereby allow you to participate in MPE as well as bid for level-4000 modules in round 1A and 1B. Latest CAP: 3.5 and above MC: 110 MC and above MC for majors: 60 MC and above

Please note that should your accumulated MC as well as for accumulated major MC do not meet the above criteria even after the adjustment of SEP workload equivalent, your status will remain on BA track and you can only bid for level 4000 modules starting from round 2A but you can still participate in MPE. We apologise but we will not entertain appeals of this status in this situation.
